LOT 12616: South Eastern Railway Enamel Signal Box Board
'Sandgate Signal Box''. This is from the branch which ran from Sandling Junction to Hythe and Sandgate in Kent. The signal box was opened in 1874 and closed in 1931 so it is an unsual and rare survivor. It is in good condition with some chipping and corrosion but the black lettering and the white background are relatively unmarked. The enamel also bears the name of the suppliers Falkirk Iron Co. 69'' x 9''

BR(W) fully flanged, maroon, in very good condition with deep colour and good shine. A small amount of rusting to the flange but no face chips. From the ex L & NWR station opened as Pinner and Hatch End, renamed in 1956 on the line from Euston to Watford.
