GWR Sydney O gauge 4-4-0 possibly modified Bassett Lowke Electric, needs work. I bought this at an auction in which it was described as a Basset Lowke 2 1/2 inch gauge locomotive with a loose mechanism. What I got was an O gauge locomotive with a non B/L mechanism. The motor works fine but either the wheel base is too short or the coupling rods are too long so it binds. It appears to have been in the process of conversion to two rail. Generally it would not take a lot of work to get it up and running in either 2 or 3 rail. The paint work is very well done.
