About 'Stop the Drop Premier' Auctions

The Premier Auction offers an auction house type service where the goods are taken in, photographed, described, priced, uploaded, invoiced and posted all for an inclusive 16% commission. Stop The Drop has a no sale no fee policy(see setting start and lowest prices) and does not charge a BUYERS PREMIUM. Payments for goods are held in a clients account until the goods have been received and approved.

The Premier Auction has two phase, "Up Phase" first 48 hours and "Drop Phase" last 1 Hour 45 minutes (7x 15 minute drops). All lots will start and finish at the same time .The Starting times and time remaining in both phases will be clearly indicated by the time remaining countdown clock on each lot.

All lots have a starting price and a lowest price. The starting price can be bid up in the "Up Phase" and in the event of bidding the Lot will be sold to the highest bidder after 48 hours.

Setting Start and Lowest Prices

The Start Price, Lowest Price and Drop Price for each Lot will be agreed between Stop The Drop and the Vendor and the No Sale No Fee Policy will apply. However Stop The Drop is prepared to accept items when prices have not been agreed but at the vendors own price settings.However for this arrangement a 2% of the lowest price (min.£5.00 max £50.00) will be charged upfront.In the event of a sale this payment will be deducted from the commission charged 

Should there have been no bidding on a lot at the end of the "Up Phase" the lot will then go into the "Drop Phase" until the end of the auction. The "Drop Phase" will have seven equal price drops and any of these can be reserved from the start of the auction by clicking "Reserve a price" and selecting the price to be reserved from the drop down. Prices Reserved will only be known to the Reserver and cannot be viewed by any other person.

All bids, reserved prices and out bids will be notified by email and appear in the users control panel under "Notifications". Successful bids will also be notified by email and again appear in "Notifications".

An automated invoicing system will keep buyers/sellers up to date with emails and notifications of invoices/payments/item status – sent, paid and received.

NB: When payment by PayPal is selected a 3.5% surcharge (may vary depending on destination) will be added to the invoice.

About 'Buy Now'

To purchase on Buy Now click on the green 'Buy Now' button before anyone else and once you have confirmed your purchase on the drop drown a red 'Sold' button will show, confirming the item is yours.

About 'Up the Bid' Auction

The 'Up the Bid' Auction is a traditional upward moving auction.

Each lot offered for sale on Up the Bid will remain live for bidding antil the individual time indicated. Each lot will have a green 'Bid Now' button with the current price and next price to bid clearly shown. Buyers wishing to place a maximum bid price can do so and the system will bid automatically up to that price. The current status of the bid will be notified by email and a live countdown clock will operate on each lot showing the time remaining. All bids and out bids will be notified by email and appear in the users control panel under "Notifications". Successful bids will also be notified by email and appear in "Notifications". Potential bidders will need to register or log in if they intend to bid.
